I have been an Early Childhood Educator for over 10 years. It is my belief that young children learn best while playing and interacting with other children. Play, therefore, is a child's work. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, problem-solving, physical, cognitive and emotional skills. Children advance cognitively by engaging in naturalistic hands on exploration of their real world. While children are having fun singing songs, listening to stories, using their imagination, creating and exploring, they are also building their academic skills! Let your children come play and develop a love of learning at Tutor Time of Lindenhurst. I look forward to meeting everyone.
Since I have been in high school, I knew I wanted to work with and teach children. I graduated from Saint Joseph's College with a Bachelor's in Child Study in both Elementary and Special Education from birth through grade six. I also have my minor in English. I was a Lead Pre-school Teacher for three years and a Kindergarten Teacher for two years. In my eyes, every teacher can touch the life of a child, even in a small way. I feel that not only is it important for our team to teach our children, but also comfort and nurture them in any way possible. I am so happy to have this opportunity as Curriculum Director at this amazing company and I look forward to meeting all of our amazing families here at Tutor Time of Lindenhurst!
