I have been an Early Childhood Educator for over 10 years. It is my belief that young children learn best while playing and interacting with other children. Play, therefore, is a child's work. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, problem-solving, physical, cognitive and emotional skills. Children advance cognitively by engaging in naturalistic hands on exploration of their real world. While children are having fun singing songs, listening to stories, using their imagination, creating and exploring, they are also building their academic skills! Let your children come play and develop a love of learning at Tutor Time of Lindenhurst. I look forward to meeting everyone.
Ever since I was a child, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I can remember turning my bedroom in to my very own classroom and setting up all of my stuffed animals as my "students". All throughout high school and college, I have had the pleasure of working with children through jobs, internships, and babysitting. As I gained more experience through these wonderful opportunities, I have more than I could ever imagine about childhood education, and knew that I had made the right choice by entering this field. Currently, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and plan to pursue my Master's Degree in Special Education in the near future. My journey at Tutor Time Lindenhurst has been amazing and I am so happy to be transitioning from Lead Pre-K teacher to the Curriculum Director at the school. Nothing makes me happier than to see each child smile as they enter the building every morning, ready to start their day at Tutor Time. I am so thankful to have the opportunity of watching these children grow and getting to know all of their different personalities!
I have a Bachelors degree in English Education from CW Post. I have worked with children young children in a high school child study lab program. I also have been babysitting for the past 11 years. I live at home with my mother, father, and younger sister. I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading and exploring new places.I enjoy working with children because I love watching them grow, learn and experience new things every day. I look forward to meeting each and everyone one of families, and am excited to see your children grow in leaps and bounds!
From an early age I have always had a passion for working with children. I find great joy in being able to watch and help them grow developmentally. Throughout my career I've had the pleasure of working with children of different ages and developmental levels. In total, I've been working with children for over ten years, including three years at Tutor Time Lindenhurst. In the three years at Tutor Time, I've held many positions including lead and assistant teacher in the Young Learner and LifeSmart classrooms. I look forward to continuing my early childhood career as the Young Learner Curriculum Director. Along with daycare experience, I have obtained knowledge of childhood development in completing my undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in Childhood Psychology and completing a Master's Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University.
